ABOUT THE OWNER
Abigail Mooney, Pet Groomer
Hello, I’m Abigail Mooney. It’s a pleasure to meet you! I am passionate about dog grooming, and I want to share a bit about my journey and approach to caring for dogs.
My path in dog grooming started when a family friend gave me the opportunity to work as a bather. From the very beginning, I found myself captivated by the world of dog grooming. This newfound passion led me to enroll in Nash Academy, where I earned my diploma in April 2022.
When I started grooming my own dog, Charlie, I quickly learned how challenging grooming can be, especially for dogs who are not comfortable with the process. Charlie was not a fan of anything related to grooming. Even something as simple as nail trimming required plenty of treats, immense patience, occasional use of a muzzle, and sometimes medication. Over time, with dedication, patience, treats, and a whole lot of love, Charlie began to tolerate grooming sessions—now without any medication, although treats are still a welcome bonus.
Our Commitment to Your Dog’s Comfort
Every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, & respected during grooming. By adjusting the pace, tools, and handling style to what your dog needs, I can create a calmer, more trusting environment—one where even nervous, reactive, or previously overwhelmed dogs can feel at ease. Your dog doesn’t have to be “perfect” to be groomed here; they only need to show up exactly as they are.
Personalized Approach to Every Appointment
During each appointment, I will take the time to speak with you and truly listen to your preferences for your dog. Whether you want a traditional breed trim, a low-maintenance style, or even a creative twist, I am here to help. Together, we will consider your dog’s coat type, skin condition, age, temperament, and lifestyle. My goal is to ensure your furry friend receives the best possible cut and style, bringing out their unique personality!
